SUMMARY:Animal Sculpture Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, Sept. 14\, and Sunday\, Sept 15\, from 9:30am-4:30pm. Have you ever wanted to sculpt an animal\, be it a pet\, something in the wild\, or even something imaginary? Working with sculptor Neil Grant\, you'll be able to bring your creations to life in this 2-day weekend workshop. Bring along your idea\, pictures of a pet\, or just do a class project. In a fun and relaxed atmosphere\, Neil will teach you a method to see your animal as a series of basic\, proportioned shapes that you can sculpt and then add detail to. This class is for both beginners and those with some clay experience. Tools will be provided but students are welcome to bring their own preferred tools if they have them. Each student will receive a 25lb bag of clay. There will be a 1-hour break for lunch. $300/$270 for members. To register visit www.cultural-center.org or call 508-394-7100.
