Jazz artist and Grammy nominee Carmen Bradford will perform vocals. A pops orchestra favorite across the United States and Canada\, Byron Stripling is known for his virtuosic trumpet sounds\, jazzy vocals\, and engaging rapport with audiences. Guest vocalist Carmen Bradford performs with passion\, warmth\, and technical skill with big bands and symphony orchestras around the world. Stripling and Bradford have joined forces to perform tributes to Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald to rave reviews. The program for "Byron Stripling & Friends" features jazz standards from New Orleans and Tin Pan Alley\, made famous by Louis Armstrong\, Ella Fitzgerald\, Sarah Vaughan\, Billie Holiday\, Frank Sinatra and other legends. Cape Symphony is proud to present "Byron Stripling & Friends" on Saturday\, October 21 at 7:30 PM and Sunday\, October 22 at 3:00 PM at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center\, 744 West Main Street\, Hyannis. Cape Cod resident and esteemed jazz aficionado Mike Persico will give a preconcert lecture an hour before each performance.
