DESCRIPTION:Sat\, Mar 22\, 10am-3pm. Trace monotype is one of the most direct printmaking techniques and can be done without a press. Join this fun beginner workshop with artist Leslie Kramer and start your printmaking journey! We will work on composition and drawing to begin. You may bring your own drawings and images to work from or create new ones in class. After rolling out ink on plexiglass\, the student will place paper over the ink. By drawing on the back of the paper with a pointed tool\, the ink is transferred onto the paper. As the day progresses we will combine trace monotype with printing on the press. We will explore the effects of different papers and drawing tools\, and you will have a series of small works by the end of the session. Please dress to make art and tie long hair back.
