Eleanor Elektra Plays a Fusion of Folk, Jazz, and Blue Grass
Friday, February 2, at 7:30pm. Join Eleanor and her ensemble of friends as they fuse folk, jazz and classical to create a unique sound. Eleanor Elektra is a largely self-taught guitarist, her playing is both technical and idiosyncratic, skillfully supporting songs that are rich in both composition and execution. She is joined by award-winning double bassist Max Ridley, pianist Jacob Hiser and drummer Tim Wolf; together they make up a dynamic ensemble that skillfully straddles the line between composition and improvisation. $25.
