A four evening tribute to a talented young Massachusetts Artist who never made it back from war. E. Louis Vuilleumier captured the innocence and beauty of coastal and rural Massachusetts in his impressive body of work, from Rockport to Provincetown, the sandy lanes and sleepy ports of the 1920s and 30s are like windows in time to a simple beauty lost forever to war and progress. Oils and Watercolors will be displayed along side his memorabilia as well as many letters home to family describing the sights and sounds of World War 2, He even managed to send a few paintings back that were painted with the few supplies he was able to carry in the field. We offer this show over the Memorial Day Weekend to honor all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom, we hope you will be able to join us in paying a tribute to this talented & brave local son. Lou was the brother in law of Marion Vuilleumier, who founded the Cape Cod Writers Conference.
