4 Mondays, Mar 24-Apr 14, 530-7pm. Dance with Leda Muhana and David Ianitelli of Movimento! This 4-week workshop is open to all people interested in movement art, dance, and dancemaking. Contemporary dance is an inclusive and celebratory medium, focusing the choreographic eye on movement of all types of bodies. We make use of movement prompts from all participants, guide their deepening into new functional and anatomical possibilities, and sew them together in sequences that are fun, beautiful, and interesting to perform. Participants will be guided through individual and collective processes of body and movement focus, exploration, and creative appreciation in the structuring of innovative dance art. Individual levels of experience will provide the base for each participant’s exploration, offering paths ahead for interested beginner to advanced artists. The atmosphere will be one of positivity, creativity, diversity, and celebration of each participant’s body, movement, and artistic potential.
