Winter break is a time for children to recharge and enjoy some much-needed relaxation. This year, however, many families may have a hard time finding ways to keep the kids entertained. To make things easier (and more fun), the Cultural Center of Cape Cod is happy to host its first “Winter Break Arts Day” on February 19, from 10am-5pm, for ages 9 and up.
Children will enjoy three classes, all taught by celebrated Cape artist and educator Nathan Olin. First up is Wandcraft, the art of wand making, from 10-noon, followed by Clay Jewelry, from 1-3pm, and Button Making from 3:30-5pm. There will also be a lunch break from noon-1pm, when the students will enjoy the lunch they bring from home … and a scavenger hunt! Social distancing and mask usage will be observed throughout. The classes are also available separately, but there is a discount for those who register for all three.
