About Us

The Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound (also known as Save Our Sound) is a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to the long-term preservation of Nantucket Sound. It was formed as a grassroots organization in 2001. The goal of the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound’s education program is to spread awareness of the importance of Nantucket Sound, its unique environmental, historic and economic values, and the need to protect it for future generations.
